Creeping zinnia (Sanvitalia procumbens) is a cheery annual plant with a spreading nature, ideal as groundcover or for planting in containers.
Plant creeping zinnia directly in the garden or in pots or hanging baskets, 1 to 2 weeks before the average last frost date. It does not transplant easily so don't go to the extra work of starting it indoors in early spring. Water plants regularly as soon as they emerge to encourage a strong root system.
Creeping zinnias are drought, humidity and heat tolerant and should not be overwatered. If you are using creeping zinnias in a container or hanging basket, be sure to provide a little extra water, as needed since pots tend to dry out quickly. There are no major pests associated with growing creeping zinnia plants.
Light: Zinnias grow and flower best in full sun. They can flower in part shade, especially in warmer climates with afternoon shade, but they may be more susceptible to disease and have fewer flowers.. . . . .364011236649!]0000000000000009783314145199!]
